Applying for highly competitive courses

Sprinter leaning forward to cross the finish line

😊 Welcome

This week, I want to share one super-useful piece that I wrote about a year ago, and have since revisited and updated.

It’s all about applying to highly competitive courses.

You probably think you know in general which courses are highly competitive, but have you ever really stopped to think what it might actually mean? And more importantly how an applicant can actually work out whether the course they are applying for really is competitive, and what action they can take if it is?

In the article we look at historical entry grade data, university admissions tests, interviews and personal statements. I’ll give you some super-useful websites, downloads and video resources that you can use and share.

I hope it provides you with a useful perspective, but most importantly, if you are supporting students who are applying for such courses, do pass this on to them - it could make a real difference for them!

That’s all for this week!
